The Essex Herald

If you were around in the 70’s you must have listened to Capital radio. They started broadcasting on 16th October 1973. Their target market was everyone. Today radio stations (with the exception of Landfill Tawny FM) tend to target very specific groups. This attitude alienates 99% of the people.

Capital radio was for everyone. For a local radio station they managed to get over 20 million listeners.
